  • Day 01
    Lima

    Arrival in Lima, reception, and transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 02
    Lima / Iquitos / Ceiba Tops

    Transfer to the airport.
    Flight Lima-Iquitos.
    Reception at the airport, brief city orientation on the way to the Explorama dock. Boat trip 40 km along the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops, where air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms and hot water will provide the comfort of home in the middle of the Rainforest. Afternoon walk through a beautiful primary forest with giant trees, including the massive Ceiba tree, which gives the lodge its name. After dinner, you can listen to local music played with guitar and flute at “El Tucán” Bar or take a night walk to see caimans and other nocturnal animals.

  • Day 03
    Ceiba Tops

    Early morning excursion for those interested in birdwatching. After breakfast, boat excursion to spot the two types of river dolphins, gray and pink, on the way to visit a small Yagua Native community, where your guide will explain their culture. You will have the opportunity to see some local handicrafts and a demonstration of the blowgun, which some Yaguas still use for hunting today. In the afternoon, excursion to the riverside town of Indiana, and if the weather allows, you can enjoy the sunset over the Amazon River.

  • Day 04
    Canopy Walkway

    Early departure from Ceiba Tops on a boat trip along the Amazon River, followed by a short ride in a motorcar across a narrow road between the Amazon and Napo Rivers. The journey continues by boat along the Napo River to ExplorNapo Lodge, arriving in time for breakfast. Excursion to the amazing Canopy Walkway, which stretches over 500 meters between the treetops, with the highest platform at 35 meters above the ground. After lunch, a walk to the Ethnobotanical Garden “ReNuPeRu,” where over 240 species of Amazonian medicinal plants are cultivated by a shaman, who will explain the uses of some of them. Return to Ceiba Tops in the afternoon with time to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities.

  • Day 05
    Ceiba Tops / Iquitos / Lima

    Excursion on foot or by boat to explore more of the Amazon Rainforest, or free time to enjoy the lodge’s facilities in the heart of the jungle. Return to Iquitos for your flight to Lima.

  • Day 06
    Lima / Cusco

    Transfer hotel-airport in Lima.
    Flight Lima-Cusco.

    PM City Tour. Visit to the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral and its Museum of Religious Art, and the Church of Santo Domingo or Koricancha. The tour continues to four archaeological sites around Cusco: the fortresses of Sacsayhuamán and Puca Pucara, the temple and amphitheater of Kenko, and the Tambomachay Sanctuary.

  • Day 07
    Cusco / Urubamba Valley

    Excursion to Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit to the town of Pisac and its authentic traditional market, where you can find a variety of handicrafts. The tour continues through the valley to Ollantaytambo, the Incas’ favorite residence and the only town continuously inhabited since Inca times. You will also admire the impressive ruins of the Ollantaytambo fortress.

  • Day 08
    Urubamba Valley / Machu Picchu / Cusco

    Transfer to Ollanta Station to take the train to Aguas Calientes in the Machu Picchu area.
    Bus ride up to the Sanctuary for a 2:30-hour guided tour.
    Machu Picchu is considered both a masterpiece of architecture and engineering. Its unique architectural and landscape features, along with the aura of mystery that much of the published literature has woven around it, have made it one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations. Machu Picchu has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage List since 1983, as part of a cultural and ecological complex known as the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. On July 7, 2007, it was declared one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World in a ceremony held in Lisbon, Portugal.

    Bus ride down to Aguas Calientes to take the return train to Cusco.

    Cusco / Lima

    Transfer to the airport.

    Flight Cusco-Lima.

    Reception and transfer to your hotel.

    PM Guided tour of Colonial and Modern Lima, including the city’s historic center, Plaza San Martín, and Plaza de Armas, as well as the Cathedral and Government Palace. Visit to the San Francisco Convent and its Catacombs. The tour continues through the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores.
